2 days tour from Fez to Merzouga desert

DAY 1: FES ⇢ IFRANE ⇢ MIDLLE ATLAS ⇢ ZIZ VALLEY ⇢ MERZOUGA

We will depart from Fes at around 8:00 AM and make our way to Merzouga. Along the way, we will stop at Ifrane, known as the little Switzerland of Morocco, and the cedar forest of Azrou to see Barbary apes. We will have lunch in Midelt, also known as the capital apple of Morocco, and continue our journey over the Tizi-n-Talghemt pass and along the Ziz Valley, which is an oasis filled with palm trees and traditional villages. There will be many stops along the way before reaching Merzouga in the evening. You will ride camels to cross the Erg Chebbi Dunes and watch the sunset from a high dune. After dinner, enjoy Berber music around a campfire under the starlit sky.

DAY 2: MERZOUGA ⇢ RISSANI ⇢ FES

Wake up early to watch the sunrise, have breakfast at your camp, and depart for Rissani, the foundation of the current ruling family. If it’s a market day (Tuesday, Thursday, or Sunday), you can explore a traditional Moroccan market. Then, we will travel back to Fes via Erfoud and along the Ziz Valley, making stops along the way. Your trip will end with drop-off at your accommodation.
