DAY 1: MARRAKECH ⇢ HIGH ATLAS MOUNTAINS ⇢ AIT BEN HADDOU ⇢ OUARZAZATE ⇢ BOUMALNE

Your 3-day Marrakech to Fez desert tour will begin with a pick-up at around 08:00 AM from your hotel, riad or any other location in Marrakech. You will then leave the city and head southeast through the High Atlas mountains, where you will have the opportunity to stop at some panoramic sights for pictures and enjoy breathtaking views of traditional Berber villages. Afterward, you will stop for lunch in Ait Ben Haddou village, where you can visit the ancient Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, which is protected by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. It is a fortified village that has been featured in many famous movies, including Lawrence of Arabia, Babel, and Gladiator.

After a short drive to Ouarzazate, you will have the option to visit the largest studio in Africa before heading to Boumalne, passing through the Valley of Roses on the way. You can choose to visit the Rock formations (called monkey fingers) in Dades Valley before heading to your accommodation or visit it the next day.

DAY 2: BOUMALNE ⇢ TINGHIR OASIS ⇢ TODGHA CANYON ⇢ MERZOUGA

After a delicious breakfast, you will drive to Tinghir, where you will stop at an impressive viewpoint of an incredible oasis full of palm trees and many kasbahs. You will then have an opportunity to walk under the great Canyon of Todgha, which was carved by the Todgha River and is 300 meters deep.

Upon arrival in Merzouga, your luggage will be taken by a 4×4 vehicle to your camp while you embark on a camel trek. Enjoy watching the sunset over the Erg Chebbi and spend an unforgettable night in the Sahara desert with locals, playing drums, sharing stories, and gazing at the starry sky.

DAY 3: MERZOUGA ⇢ ZIZ VALLEY ⇢ MIDDLE ATLAS ⇢ IFRANE ⇢ FES

You will rise early in the morning to witness a tranquil and beautiful sunrise. After a delicious breakfast at the camp, you can choose to leave the camp either by camel trekking or by a 4×4 vehicle. Depart Merzouga and head to Fez. Along the way, you will stop at a panoramic viewpoint of the Ziz Valley, which is full of palm trees and villages. In the Cedar forest of the Middle Atlas, you may see some Barbary Apes, which are one of the few species to live in a cold climate. Take a break and have a coffee in Ifrane city, also known as the Switzerland of Morocco.
